A BIT OF HISTORY

The story of Pleyel pianos began in 1807, when Ignace Pleyel founded the company in Paris. His son Camille gave new impetus to piano production, and was responsible for the world’s first concert halls. It was in his friend Camille’s Pleyel salons that Frédéric Chopin gave his first concert in 1832. The success was immediate, and Chopin remained loyal to Pleyel pianos for the rest of his life. Since then, many historical celebrities have contributed to the legend of this prestigious brand.

The construction of the Salle Pleyel on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in 1927 marked the pinnacle of this dynasty. This imposing music auditorium in Paris was one of the three most prestigious in the world, alongside the Concert Gebouw in Amsterdam and Carnegie Hall in New York.

Today, the House of Pleyel is proud to perpetuate the famous romantic sound that characterizes it, whether through the traditional manufacture of acoustic pianos, or through the development of audio products designed to seduce music lovers. Roundness of bass, finesse of treble, richness of midrange and powerful, harmonious timbres are the hallmarks of Pleyel’s living-room speakers, whose gentle listening will seduce even the most delicate ears.

Enjoy high quality audio from the optional inputs including optical, USB and auxiliary jack. As well as wirelessly via BT through the impeccable MVS chip set used on board.
