Controls – Key Types and Functions

This vehicle is equipped with a multi-functional key system:

  1. Use the keys to control the power system, lock/unlock the doors, and access the trunk.
  2. The built-in key can be utilized to lock/unlock doors if the remote’s battery is low and the power door lock feature is inactive.
  3. Remove or install the built-in key by sliding the release knob and pulling out or reinserting it until it clicks.

All keys include an immobilizer system to prevent vehicle theft. To safeguard the keys, adhere to the following:

  1. Press the unlock button for remote door unlocking.
  2. Press the lock button for remote door locking.
  3. Press the button to remotely activate the horn.
  4. Insert the key into the ignition to activate the vehicle’s electrical systems and start the engine.
  5. Position the key near the left front door handle (within one meter) and press the lock button to close all windows and the sunroof. Convertibles will also close the top.
  6. Similarly, position the key near the left front door handle and press the unlock button to open all windows, the sunroof, and, if applicable, the convertible top.
  7. To modify the unlocking settings, press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons for about five seconds; this customizes the unlocking feature for the left front door and the cap. Repeat to restore full functionality.

The device adheres to FCC Rules, part 15, which permit operation under two conditions: it must not cause harmful interference, and it must accept any received interference.

The equipment complies with the limits for a Class B digital device, designed to prevent harmful interference in residential setups. However, if interference does occur, the user may:

  1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  2. Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver.
  3. Connect the equipment to an outlet on a different circuit.
  4. Seek assistance from the dealer or an experienced technician.

Modifications not approved could void user authority to operate the equipment.
