Display ON/OFF/SLEEP

The display will automatically turn on when charging or connected to a power source. It can also be manually turned ON/OFF by holding the &4 button for 3 seconds when the display is disconnected from power.

To save power, the display will automatically enter SLEEP mode after 4 minutes if no vibration is detected. If vibration is detected, the display will awaken from SLEEP mode.

Quick Check

To manually check the next two tire temperatures and pressures, press the @3 button. To check the previous two tire temperatures and pressures, press the Kd button.

Reading the Display

When the display is set to Front Axle Only View, it will only show the front axle tire pressure and temperature. This setting does not affect the alarm function; if another tire is experiencing problems, an alert will still appear on the display.

In Truck Only View or All Tire View, the display scrolls through tire pressure and temperature data for two tires at a time on the screen, starting from the first axle to the last, before looping back.

When set to All Tire View, for trailers, the display will assign each trailer a random “trailer number.” It will then scroll through data from the truck, trailer 1, trailer 2, trailer 3, up to trailer 6, before looping back to truck data.

If there is an alert, the warning indicator () will flash. Refer to the last few pages of this manual for details on different warning signals.

Installation

Four installation steps:

(1) Display (2) Booster (3) Repeater (4) Sensors

Overview diagram:

Note: a sensor is installed on each tyre that requires monitoring.

Display Installation

What you need:

Mount the display stand onto the dashboard with screws or double-sided sticker. Choose somewhere visible but not obtrusive.

Make sure the display cable can reach the display stand. Do not place in an airbag deployment area.

Booster Installation for truck

What you need:

Installation Instructions

Install the booster on the truck or prime mover. Ensure the front side of the booster does not face any metal parts.

The booster is waterproof and can be installed on the underside of the truck.

Position the booster as close as possible to the sensors.

The booster should be mounted securely, either by using ties or screws.

Repeater Installation for trailer

What you need:

Installation Instructions for TC-02 Repeater

  1. The TC-02 repeater communicates trailer data to the display through the power line.
  2. Install the repeater on the trailer. It needs to be connected to the same power loop as the display, such as the park light.
  3. One trailer requires one repeater. The repeater should be positioned as close as possible to the trailer sensors.
  4. The repeater has a screen that will display the trailer number when powered. Ensure the screen is visible.
  5. The repeater should be mounted securely using a tie or screw

Sensor Installation

General Sensor Position Diagram

Sensor position is labeled using a number followed by a letter.

  1. The number represents the axle number (maximum of 4 axles), starting from the front of the vehicle. The number can be 1, 2, 3, or 4.
  2. The letter represents the tire position (maximum of 4 tires per axle), starting from the left side of the vehicle. The letter can be A, B, C, or D.

For example:

Generally, each module’s sensors are labeled this way, unless it is a custom order. The display will show the outline of the tires for paired sensors. Positions with no paired sensors will be blank.

Please install the sensors in their correct positions.

Note: Kits usually come pre-paired; however, the user can customize where each sensor goes by deleting or pairing sensors (see page 21).

i. Take an external tyre sensor.

ii. Remove the original valve cap.

iii. Screw on the sensor.

iv. Check air leakage by spraying soapy water.

Internal Sensor Installation

1. Loop the strap around the drop center of the wheel. Ensure the strap is straight.

Cut off the excess strap, leaving 3 cm past the band clamp.

2. Thread the sensor into the strap. Then thread the strap through the band clamp.

3. Move the sensor along the strap until it is close to the tire valve. The sensor should always be installed near the valve to determine the sensor’s approximate location.

4. Ensure the strap is straight, and then tighten the band clamp with the screw so that the strap is secured firmly and does not move. Be careful not to overtighten.

Functional Test after Installation

After installation, perform a two-step functional test to ensure that the product is installed and functioning correctly.

Step 1: Turn on the truck ACC to confirm that the products are on the same power loop. Check the following:

  1. The display automatically turns on as soon as it is powered.
  2. The display shows the correct number of tire outlines in the correct positions.
  3. If trailers are connected, the trailer outline and tire outline will appear on the Mata7$S display within 30 seconds.
  4. If trailers are connected, each repeater screen shows a random red numeric digit between 1 and 6.

Step 2: Connect or disconnect some trailers as usual and drive the truck. All tire data should appear within 60 seconds. Check the following:

  1. After connecting or disconnecting the trailers, the trailer and tire outlines will automatically appear or disappear on the Mata7$S display within 60 seconds.
  2. The pressure data updates as the truck begins to drive. After several minutes, the user can quickly check all tire data on the display using the @3 button.
  3. If any tire’s pressure is 25% lower or 25% higher than the default pressure, the display may issue an alarm. In this case, the user can adjust the alarm settings (see pages 16-17).
