In this mode, all participants should use their own earbuds. Press the earbud to activate recognition.

Earbud Setup

All changes are saved automatically.

Earbud Name

This helps participants recognize you.

Earbud Language

Select the language you will speak and hear in the earbud. For example, if you speak English, choose English.

LEDs

Choose a color for this earbud.

Vasco Translator E1 User Guide Summary

1. Buttons

1. Volume Buttons: Use +/- to adjust the volume.
2. Push-to-Talk: Press the earbud against the ear to activate speech recognition and begin speaking.

2. Charging Case

1. Earbuds Charging: Place earbuds in the case and close it to charge.
2. Case Charging: Connect to a USB AC adapter or PC with a USB cable (DC 5V, at least 0.5A). An LED indicator shows the battery level.

3. First-Time Use with Mobile App

1. Download Vasco Connect App from the App Store or Google Play Store and install it.
2. Run the app, take out earbuds to turn on, and start automatic pairing.
3. Allow app access to location and Bluetooth.
4. Select earbuds in the app to connect and personalize settings (name, language, volume, color).
5. To unpair: choose “Forget” in the app or press both volume buttons on the earbud for 3 seconds.
6. To restore default settings: press both volume buttons for 10 seconds.

4. Conversation

Start the conversation by tapping “Go to conversation.” Switch translation modes as needed.

1. Loudspeaker Mode:Select the language of your partner.
2. Press the earbud, speak, and view translations on the screen.
3. Begin translation from the app and receive through the earbud.
4. Earbuds Mode:Pair and personalize earbuds, and talk with others using connected earbuds.
5. Touchless translation feature available.

Finish by placing the earbud back into the charging case.

5. Settings

1. Access tutorials via the settings menu in the app.
2. Check and install updates for earbuds and the app.

6. First-Time Use with Handheld Vasco Translator

1. Connect earbuds to the Vasco Translator.
2. Ensure device is updated, select earbud icon, and follow pairing instructions similar to the mobile app.
